Dr Kumar uses the latest and most state-of-the-art implants and techniques to enhance and complement each individual patient’s overall figure. This approach to any type of breast augmentation surgery delivers the most natural result possible.

Whatever breast enhancement surgery you decide is right for you, Dr Kumar will plan a bespoke operation that is perfectly designed to you and your expectations.

Why Choose Breast Implants with a Lift?

With this procedure, breasts are rejuvenated, reshaped and lifted to a more youthful position. The volume of the breasts is increased with the addition of well-chosen cohesive silicone gel implants. The latest VECTRA 3D imaging software allows Dr Kumar to simulate your breast lift procedure by showing the lift procedure and adding different sized implants. This will help you decide whether you want an implant with your breast lift procedure or whether you are happy with a beast lift alone in achieving the exact breast shape and size you desire.

Are both procedures done at the same operation or are they done in stages?

While it is possible to do both procedures at the same time, Dr Kumar prefers to do the operations separately. The first procedure being the breast lift and the breast augmentation follows approximately 6 months later.

This is Dr Kumar’s preferred method as he believes it consistently delivers better, more aesthetically pleasing results. The breast lift brings the breast higher and inwards while a breast augmentation pushes the breasts outwards. Dr Kumar believes, that it is difficult to find harmony when doing this together as they have opposing effects. Allowing each procedure to go through its healing allows for a better overall look and scar.

Is a breast implant the only way to increase breast volume?

No. Many of Dr Kumar’s patient’s will undergo Fat Grafting with their breast lift. This is a procedure where fat is harvested for another part of the body ( eg tummy or hips) and purified and injected into the breasts. This procedure can add volume and improve contour of the breast. For some patients this is all they want without taking the further step of a breast augmentation. If the patient chooses to have breast augmentation, the fat grafting can soften any harsh edges and help deliver a more natural result.

The Lift Component of the Procedure

In the breast lift and augmentation procedure, Dr Kumar prefers to use the Inverted T technique for the lift component. This operation is suitable for breasts with severe laxity and nipples that have dropped significantly. This Inverted T technique gives the greatest degree of control of the lift and allows for the precise positioning of the nipple areola complex after the breast augmentation component.

What is involved in the Breast Implants with a Lift Procedure?

The first step to the Breast Implants with a Lift procedure is placing the breast implants in a meticulously dissected pocket in order to give you the volume that you have decided is ideal for you. The technique for this section of the surgery is identical to the standard breast augmentation procedure.

Following the augmentation, the skin of the breast is lifted to support this new volume and the nipple/areola region is also repositioned to a higher position to enhance the youthful look of your breasts.

It is possible to add fat grafting to further enhance the breast.

In general terms, there are a few common types of breast lift, or mastopexy procedures, and they all have their role in breasts with differing needs. The breast lift section of Dr Kumar’s website describes these techniques in greater detail.
