COSMETIC, PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGEON
Dr Rodney Cooter (MB.BS., MD (Adel), FRACS) leads an experienced team at Waverley House where he performs a diverse range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures.
Completing medical school in 1983, Dr Cooter then received a research-based Doctorate in Medicine in 1991, and after completing further specialised training here and abroad, was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 1993. Since that time Dr Cooter has worked as a senior lecturer in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the University of Adelaide, and as Head of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. From 1997 to 2002 Dr Cooter was the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and an Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide.
Dr Cooter devotes considerable time to each client to ensure that their individual needs are fully assessed and options discussed. Dr Cooter believes that when considering a cosmetic procedure, it is most important to have confidence in the surgeon of your choice. Checking the surgeon’s qualifications for FRACS (Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) and ensuring that he or she is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons is a good starting point. Only qualified and recognised surgeons have these credentials.
