The first step is to place a gel over the targeted area to allow the device ease of movement. The applicator is placed on top of the area to be treated whereby a suction or vacuum-like process pulls the targeted fat up into the device where the cooling begins. The area will become numb after a few minutes.

The treatment can take between 30 to 90 minutes depending on the practitioner and the size and number of area/s being treated.

After the treatment the practitioner massages the area to maximise results and bring the skin back to normal temperature.

Q. Can anyone get this treatment?

A. Anyone who has noticeable fat bulges in target areas can be a candidate for fat freezing. However, this is not an advisable weight loss treatment for those who are obese.

Q. Are there any side effects and does it hurt?

A. While the treatment is being applied, patients report a pulling or pinching sensation, extreme coldness, slight stinging, aching, or cramping in the area. These sensations should fade away as the area gets numb from the coldness.

Some people experience redness, mild pain and bruising for a few days afterward.

Q. How long does it take for results to appear?

A. You can generally expect approximately 20 percent fat reduction but this may take a number of treatments. Results take from two to four months to be fully apparent.
