Dr Quoc Lam joined the Waverley team in 2012. Dr Lam brings a broad range of specialist skills to the practice, including breast reconstruction, skin cancer surgery and Asian aesthetic surgery.
Dr Lam graduated from the University of Sydney before doing six years postgraduate surgical training in addition to a Master of Surgical Oncology in melanoma. In 2007 he moved to South Australia to undertake four years further training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Subsequently, he completed two facial aesthetic fellowships with prominent Sydney surgeon Dr Warwick Nettle and leading Malaysian surgeons, Dr Steve Wong and Dr Victor Cheong.
As well as consulting at Waverley House, Dr Lam works at Flinders Medical Centre where he is primarily focussed on breast reconstruction. He also practises general plastic surgery, including skin cancer surgery, facial trauma, hand, paediatric and burns surgery.
Appreciated by his clients for his gentle, easy manner, this caring young doctor is happy to invest extra time in what he calls ‘the detail of care’. This detail lies in the subtleties of understanding the patient’s needs prior to surgery, what they hope to gain from surgery and of course by providing a tailored post-surgical program to ensure the best outcomes.
Dr Lam is one of very few qualified surgeons performing Asian aesthetic surgery in Australia.
